The journey of training gifted children

In the third stage of the journey of training gifted children, Jasmar Organization for Human Security, through the Social Behaviour Change project implemented by it and Funded by UNICEF - a free platform - prepared for children in the friendly space at Al-Mirghaniyah Al-Sharqiya School, so that the children could showcase their artistic abilities, talk about issues that arouse their interest, and participate in expressing their voices. Through the arts, starting with theatre, singing, and free drawing. The ceremony was attended by an honorable presence of children, parents, a delegation from the Ministry of Education, and a number of international and national organizations. The organization extends special thanks for the participation of the Director General of the Ministry of Education and Guidance, Kassala State, the Minister-designate,The children expressed their satisfaction and happiness with the training they underwent, and they performed beautiful artistic performances that represented them and the children. Their views on education issues and the importance of motivating positive behavior.

Community Protection and Community Support Project for IDPs and Host Communities

Community Protection and Support Initiative for IDPs and Host Communities As part of the Community Protection and Support Project for IDPs and Host Communities, Gismar Organization - Red Sea Office, in collaboration with the Department of Religious Affairs and with support from the UNHCR, organized a training workshop for Imams, preachers, and female preachers in Port Sudan Locality. The training took place from November 3 to 7, 2024. The closing ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohamed Anwar Ahmed, Director of the Department of Religious Affairs, Ms. Rania Mohamed from UNHCR, Mr. Musab Ismail, Director of the Red Sea Office, and Mr. Mohamed Othman from the Programs Department of Gismar Organization. The training focused on raising awareness and sharing information about human trafficking issues, equipping religious leaders with the knowledge and tools to contribute to combating this critical problem within their communities.

Joint Field Visit to Assess 2024 Year-End Project in White Nile State

A recent joint field visit was conducted to monitor the 2024 year-end project in White Nile State, aiming to evaluate JASMAR’s performance in relation to project targets and actual achievements. During the visit, the UNHCR team inspected the Al-Jabalein Youth Center, where JASMAR has carried out significant rehabilitation efforts to enhance community facilities. Additionally, essential equipment was provided to strengthen Community-Based Protection Networks (CBPNs), supporting their ongoing operations. The team had the opportunity to engage with CBPN members who had participated in Psychological First Aid (PFA) training, highlighting the project’s focus on mental health and community resilience. Furthermore, the visit included meetings with three groups benefiting from Income-Generating Activities (IGA), showcasing efforts to enhance economic empowerment. The team was pleased to witness the positive impact of the project on the community, reinforcing the importance of continued support for sustainable development initiatives.

Awareness lecture on the dangers of landmines and war remnants

The Third Infantry Division, in collaboration with JASMAR, organized an awareness lecture on the dangers of landmines and war remnants, attended by division leaders and officers. The lecture, presented by Mr. Fateh Al-Sinousi, focused on handling landmines and the importance of reporting suspicious objects. He emphasized the need to educate children and communities. Colonel Anwar Balla expressed gratitude to JASMAR, praising its awareness efforts and urging the dissemination of knowledge to local neighborhoods.

Explosive Ordnance Clearance Operation in Omdurman

Under supervision and tasking of Sudan National mine action center (NMAC) and UNMAS/ SHF funding with partnership with DRC & NUMAD org JASMAR land release teams deployed in Omdurman. 4 clearance teams and 4 non-technical survey (NTS) teams doing Explosive ordinance clearance, NTS and EORE operation to protect people of Sudan specially Khartoum from the hazard of explosive ordnance. Special thanks for NMAC HQ and NMAC Omdurman sub office for their support and efforts to enable teams’ deployment on this special time.

Opening of Community Centers to Support Displaced Persons and Host Communities

#Inauguration of Multi-Purpose Community Centers in Port Sudan to Support Displaced and Host Communities As part of the Community Protection and Support Project for Displaced and Host Communities in Port Sudan locality, Red Sea State—funded by the UNHCR and implemented by Jasmar Human Security Organization – Red Sea Office—the rehabilitation and maintenance of multi-purpose community centers in Al-Aman and Dar Al-Naeem communities have been successfully completed. These centers aim to provide safe spaces that serve all segments of society by offering: Safe spaces for women, supporting and empowering them to engage in various activities. Child-friendly spaces that provide a secure environment for play and learning.
